Advocacy

The New Zealand Deerstalkers Association (NZDA) and its Hutt Valley branch are dedicated to advocating for responsible hunting, firearms safety, conservation, and outdoor education. With over 1,000 members in the greater Hutt Valley area, the branch plays a vital role in promoting ethical hunting practices, preserving access to public and private hunting land, and engaging in conservation initiatives to protect New Zealand’s native flora and fauna.

The NZDA works tirelessly to protect the rights of law-abiding firearm owners, making formal submissions on legislative changes, such as the Arms (Shooting Clubs, Shooting Ranges, and Other Matters) Amendment Bill, to safeguard the future of shooting sports and hunting in New Zealand.
